SUNTORY X LANEWAY – GAME OF SKILL COMPETITION

TERMS AND CONDITIONS 

ABBREVIATED TERMS

Competition Period: 20/01/2026 at 12 pm (AEST) to 31/01/2026 at 12 pm (AEST). Entry is open to Australian Residents aged 18yr+. Entrants must, during the Competition Period, visit Minus196AU on Instagram, find the competition post, follow @minus196au & @lanewayfest, tag a friend in the post,and comment why you should win. One entry per person. The total prize is valued at AUD $3,259. The winner(s) will be selected by representatives of the Promoter in accordance with the judging criteria on or before 02/02/2026 at 12 pm (AEST). The winner(s) will be notified via direct message on Instagram within 2 working days from 12pm on 02/02/2026 and must be available to and respond to the Promoter’s representative to claim the Prize. The Promoter’s decision is final & no correspondence will be entered into. The Promoter is Beam Suntory Australia Pty Ltd (ABN 85 003 953 357) of Tower 1, Level 18, 201 Sussex Street, Sydney, NSW 2000.

Prize Delivery MethodThe winner(s) will receive tickets directly via email. Entrants must be available to receive and ensure their personal Instagram accounts can receive an Instagram direct message from a representative of the Promoter within the following timeframe (or such other timeframe as designated by the Promoter):02/02/2026 at 12 pm (AEST)The Winner(s) will be contacted by representatives of the Promoter in writing via a direct message on Instagram. For the avoidance of doubt, if an entrant is spoken to by a representative of the Promoter, it does not mean they have been selected as an entrant or a winner (where applicable), and they may not be awarded a Prize (where applicable).
Prize Claim DatePrizes must be claimed within forty-eight (48) hours after being contacted via Instagram direct message.
Prize Delivery DatePrizes will be delivered to each winner who has claimed their Prize by the Pirze Claim Date, via email, no later than the end of the first week of February 2026.

● This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by the promoter of St. Jerome’s Laneway Festival 2026 (“Laneway Festival”).
● Prize tickets may not be resold or exchanged and are subject to Laneway Festival’s Event Terms and Conditions, including any applicable age restrictions.
● Winner(s) and their guests (if applicable) must be 18 years old at the date of entry into this competition.
● The prize does not include transportation, accommodation, or any other expenses. Any additional or associated costs, permits, or extras outside of the ticket to Laneway Festival 2026 will be at the Winners’ expense. This includes, for the avoidance of doubt, travel costs to and from the festival.
● If the Laneway Festival 2026 is cancelled, postponed, or rescheduled for any reason beyond the Promoter’s control, no cash or other substitute prize will be offered.

FULL GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. INTRODUCTION

1.1. By entering into this game of skill competition (Competition), you agree to these terms and conditions (General Terms and Conditions). 

1.2. The Competition is operated by the Promoter. 

1.3. To be a valid entry, entries must comply with these General Terms and Conditions and the aboveSchedule to these General Terms and Conditions (Schedule). 

1.4. Any capitalised terms used in these General Terms and Conditions have the meaning given in the Schedule, unless stated otherwise. In the event of any inconsistency between the Schedule and these General Terms and Conditions, the terms of the Schedule will prevail. 

1.5. The Promoter and its agents or judges associated with this Competition (Personnel) may, in its absolute discretion, refuse to award any Prize to an entrant who fails to comply with these General Terms and Conditions.

2. ELIGIBILITY AND ENTRY RESTRICTIONS

2.1. An entrant is only allowed one entry. Entrant(s) must only enter in their own name, must be of or over 18 years old, and be an Australian resident.

2.2. An entrant must enter the Competition in accordance with the Entry Method during the Competition Period.

2.3. An entrant to the Competition must be an individual, not a company or an organisation. The directors, management and employees (and their immediate families) of the Promoter, its related entities, printers, suppliers, providers and agencies that are directly associated with the conduct of this Competition, and any manufacturer or retailer activating the Competition and the management of their benefiting organisations, are not eligible to enter the Competition.

2.4. Any person who is discovered to have used or attempted to use any more than one name in order to enter any Competition run by the Promoter except in the case of a legal change of name in this Competition is ineligible to enter this Competition. This includes entrants attempting to use more than one social media account to make multiple, non-compliant entries. 

3. COMPETITION 

3.1. The Competition commences at the Commencement Time (AEST) on the Commencement Dateand closes at the Close Time (AEST) on the Close Date. The winner(s) will be contacted in the manner stipulated by the Prize Delivery Method. 

3.2. The Promoter has no responsibility to accept late, lost, delayed or misdirected entries. 

3.3. Chance plays no part in determining any winners of this Competition. Each valid entry will be individually judged (by representatives of the Promoter) based on the Judging Criteria specified in the Schedule. The Prize(s) will be awarded to the valid entrant or entrants (as applicable) whose entries best meet the Judging Criteria, as determined by the judges. The judges’ decisions are final and no correspondence will be entered into. The Winner(s) will be contacted by the Promoter via the Prize Delivery Method. The Winner(s) must respond within the Prize Claim Date.

3.4. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and reserves the right to disqualify any entrant for tampering with the entry process, or for submitting an entry which is not in accordance with these terms and conditions, or if the entrant is engaged in any unlawful or other improper misconduct calculated to jeopardise the fair and proper conduct of the Competition. The Promoter’s and its Personnel’s legal rights to recover damages or other compensation from such an offender are reserved.

3.5. This Competition is conducted or involves entry via a social media platform, meaning that each entrant acknowledges and agrees that: 

(a) an entrant’s entry must be personally submitted by that entrant. Entries submitted on behalf of another person will not be valid entries;

(b) entrants must ensure their security settings on their social media account allows the Promoter to contact them, via direct message, in the event that the entrant is a winner;  

(c) an entrant’s use of any social media platform is subject to the terms and conditions of use of that social media platform;  

(d) entrants are solely responsible and liable for the content of their entries and/or posts and any other information they transmit to other Internet users; and 

(e) to the extent permitted by law, the winner and their companions agree to release any and all social media platforms (and their associated agencies and companies) used in conjunction with this Competition, against any and all losses, actions, claims, costs, expenses and damages (of any nature) which may be incurred by the winner and their companions in respect of their participation in the Competition.

3.6. The entrant agrees and acknowledges that any reproduction and/or communication of your entry to the public by the Promoter is at the complete discretion of the Promoter. 

3.7. Any entry that contains content that the Promoter or its Personnel, in its sole discretion, considers to be offensive or inappropriate, or that infringes any intellectual property rights or other rights of any person, corporation or entity, will be considered ineligible, and no correspondence will be entered into. 

4. PRIZE RESTRICTIONS

4.1. The Prizes must be taken as awarded and specified in the Schedule. 

4.2. The Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be redeemed for cash. 

4.3. The Prize values are the recommended retail value as provided by the relevant supplier. 

4.4. The Prize is in in the value of Australian Dollars (AUD) and is correct as at the commencement of the Competition Period. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in the Prize value since the commencement of the Competition Period, and for any tax implications that may arise from the prize winnings. 

4.5. The Promoter and its Personnel take no responsibility for a Prize (or part of the prize) damaged or lost in transit (if relevant). 

4.6. All warranty claims in respect of the Prizes must be directed towards the relevant supplier and not the Promoter.

4.7. The Promoter and its Personnel may, in their absolute discretion, decline to award any or all Prizes, including where the Promoter and its Personnel determine that the entry is not of publication standard.

4.8. Unless otherwise specified in the Schedule, the Promoter will not be responsible for any additional costs associated with use of the Prize. The Winner(s) (and, if applicable, their guest(s)) is responsible for all costs associated with using the Prize, including travel and/or transfer costs, expenses with respect to food and beverages, travel and medical insurance costs and spending money (if applicable).

4.9. If, for any reason, the Prize, or any part of the Prize, is unavailable beyond the Promoter’s reasonable control, the Promoter reserves the right to (but will not be obliged to) substitute the Prize (or part of the Prize) for an alternative prize of the same value as the original Prize value, subject to any written directions made under the applicable State or Territory legislation. 

4.10. The Prize(s) will only be awarded following any validation and verification of the Winner that the Promoter requires in its sole discretion. The Promoter reserves the right to request the Winner(s) to produce (within the requested time) an appropriate photo identification or other documentation (to the Promoter’s satisfaction, at its sole discretion) in order to confirm their identity, age, residency, eligibility to enter and claim a Prize and any information submitted by the entrant in entering the Competition before issuing a Prize.

4.11. In the event the documentation required by the Promoter or its Personnel is not received, or the Winner(s) have not been verified to the Promoter’s satisfaction within the requested time, the Winner’s entry will become invalid. If the Winner(s) cannot provide suitable proof, the relevant Prize will be forfeited, and no substitute will be offered.

4.12. The Promoter may select another Winner(s) in order to distribute any forfeited Prizes or unclaimed Prizes by that time in respect of those selection, subject to any written directions given under applicable State legislation.

4.13. Where applicable, the Promoter reserves the right to request that the Winner or their guest(s) (if applicable) provide conditions necessary to be able to safely participate in the Prize. If the Winner or their guest(s) (if applicable) is unable to provide such certification, the Promoter reserves the right to refuse to allow the Winner or their guest(s) (if applicable) to take part in any or all aspects of the Prize.

4.14. No compensation will be payable if a Winner, or their guest(s) (if applicable), are unable to use the Prize, including but not limited to, festival cancellations, refusal of entry or ejection from the date locations or participation in certain activities for health, age, behaviour or safety reasons.

4.15. If the Prize includes tickets, all tickets are valid for the date or period as indicated on the tickets. Tickets are subject to the conditions stipulated by the supplier of the tickets.

4.16. If any Prize is not claimed by the Prize Claim Date, the Promoter reserves the right to award the relevant Prize(s) to the next best valid entry or entries (as applicable) which meet the Judging Criteria, as determined by the judges, that has not already received a Prize.  If a Prize is no longer capable of being redeemed, the new Winner(s) will receive a Prize, as determined by the Promoter, of equivalent value (as if the original Prize had been awarded to that person, less any administrative expenses incurred by the Promoter).

5. OTHER

5.1. Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, including Australian Consumer Law, the Promoter (including its officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the Competition, including, but not limited to, where arising out of the following:

(a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter’s control);

(b) any theft, unauthorised access or third-party interference;

(c) any entry or prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter;

(d) any variation in Prize value from that stated in these Terms and Conditions;

(e) any tax liability incurred by a Winner or entrant; or

(f) use of a Prize.

5.2. If this Competition is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter including because of war, terrorism, state of emergency or disaster (including natural disaster), infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, technical failures or any which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Competition, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law to disqualify any entrant, or subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority, to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the Competition, as appropriate.

5.3. An entrant may also be disqualified if any of the following matters without limitation are discovered in connection with their entry: criminal history, tampering, behaviour and conduct issues, inappropriate, aggressive or defamatory content (whether in relation to the Promoter, the Supplier or otherwise), the Promoter reasonably believes that the entrant(s) poses a safety risk.

5.4. The Promoter and associated agencies or companies with this Competition are not responsible for any problems, delays or technical malfunction of any telephone or network or lines, servers or providers, computer equipment, software, technical problems or traffic congestion on a network or a mobile network or any combination thereof, or any other technical failures including any damage to entrant’s or any other person’s mobile handset, computer or peripherals related to, or resulting from, participation in this Competition or the downloading of any materials related to this Competition.

5.5. This Competition is not sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Instagram and Facebook. Any questions, comments or complaints regarding this Competition must be directed to the Promoter through the Promoter’s website.

5.6. If any dispute arises about the conduct of the Competition or the claiming of the prize, the claimant may give written notice to the Promoter giving details of the nature of the dispute and the circumstances giving rise to the dispute.

5.7. By submitting an entry to the Promoter, the entrant grant the Promoter the right to use any copyright in the entries, communicate your entry to the public in whole or in part, in perpetuity and throughout the world in any media, and the right to publicise, broadcast and communicate to the public your name, character, likeness or voice for any Competition or matter incidental to the Competition with no compensation to you for such use. Use or any publication of entries during or after the Competition Period (in any form of media) does not mean that an entrant has been selected as a winner in the Competition, and that entrant may not be awarded a Prize.

5.8. Personal information is collected in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Promoter’s Privacy Policy, available at https://www.suntoryoceania.com/privacy-policy/. By entering, entrants consent to the Promoter collecting, using, and disclosing their personal information for the purposes of conducting this Competition and for direct marketing as outlined in the Privacy Policy. Entrants can opt out of direct marketing at any time. The Promoter may share your Personal Information with other companies or individuals who assist us in providing products or services or who perform functions on its behalf (such as direct marketing companies, mailing houses, consultants and service providers). If the Promoter is to disclose information to an overseas recipient, it is likely to be to one of the countries identified in its Privacy Policy. The Promoter’s Privacy Policy explains how you may seek correction to Personal Information the Promoter holds and how to make a complaint.

5.9. The Promoter, its promotional partners, prize suppliers and their related bodies corporate will not be liable for any direct or indirect loss (including, without limitation, special or consequential loss or loss of profits), expense, damage, personal injury or death which is suffered or sustained (whether or not arising from any person’s negligence) in connection with this Competition or accepting or using any Prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law (in which case that liability is limited to the minimum allowable by law). Without limiting the previous paragraph, the Promoter and its associated agencies and companies will not be liable for any damage to or delay in transit of Prizes.
